What is Share?
A share is defined as a unit or a portion of huge capital.
Example:
Let a company X is in need of Rs. 1,00,00,000 capital (1 Cr.) Now company divides that capital as 10,00,000 units (10 Lakes), each at the rate of Rs. 10 . Here the part Rs. 10 is named as share. Here the face value of share is Rs. 10. Later this share price may increase or decrease according to demand & supply of shares, company performance etc..
Now the required capital = share price * No. of shares
1,00,00,000= 10 * 10,00,000
When Companies are in need of Capital, companies issue shares to the public, by that companies get the required capital.
